Janie Coolidge worked in advertising for approximately 20 years at firms including Ogilvy and Mather and Chiat/Day in New York and at Arnold Communications in Boston, where she was an associate media director.
Raised in Boston, Janie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in psychology and then earned her Master in Education degree through Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Before beginning her career in advertising, she taught fifth and sixth grade at a private school outside Boston.
In 2006, Janie moved to Santa Monica to escape the East Coast winters but maintains many of those connections. She is currently on the advisory board of a small middle school started five years ago, located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, which serves underprivileged girls in that community. In Los Angeles, she has been a member of the Everychild Foundation since 2007 and volunteers in the Emergency Room at a local hospital.
