Anna Rubin provides educational and vocational counseling and supportive services for the youth enrolled in the C/HOPE program. Working one-on-one, she helps them develop short- and long-term goals and provides case management services to help create a comprehensive transition plan for their return home. Anna also teaches an art and literature class which focuses on strengthening reading comprehension skills and providing a creative outlet for the youth.
Anna became interested in the cyclical nature of violence and working with systems-involved children and families while volunteering with a local nonprofit. She interned at a legal nonprofit, the Alliance for Children’s Rights, providing special education advocacy for current and former foster youth.
Anna holds a Masters in Social Welfare degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned her BA in public communication with a minor in marketing from American University in Washington, D.C.
