Julio Quijada provides mentorship to youth recently released from Camp Gonzales. Released from Camp in November 2013, his persistence and devotion to the alumni program led CEE HOPE to offer him this opportunity. He works to help other Camp alumni further their education and move forward on their new path, and provides office and database support as well.
As a formally incarcerated youth, Julio understands the hardship of transition from facilities to society. His involvement with many other reentry program, including ARC, NEW EARTH, IOW has been instrumental in connecting him with other youth.
Julio is currently studying economics at Santa Monica College.
